Noelle Noyes, PhD

Postdoctoral Fellow; DVM Student,
Department of Clinical Sciences
Research Gate Profile

After completing a PhD on epidemiological and metagenomic approaches to understanding antimicrobial resistance, Noelle undertook a USDA NIFA post-doctoral fellowship focusing on application of Bayesian analysis to multi-level metagenomic datasets. Noelle has diverse experience in the bioinformatic and statistical analysis of shotgun metagenomic data, and has applied these analyses to a variety of research questions and sampling schema, particularly within livestock production. As an epidemiologist, she places heavy emphasis on appropriate interpretation of next-generation sequence data, with a focus on metagenomic data as a tool to improve our understanding of microbial ecology.
